Pastor, Dr. Ronald A. Ellis

Dr. Ellis is a Virginia native and has pastored Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for the past 26 years. It is his heart's desire to see all members of the church saved. He retired in 2015 with over 40 years experience in the Computer Industry as an analyst. He and his wife, Sharmaine, have two children and five grandchildren. Dr. Ellis is an avid fisherman and he also enjoys softball, bowling, and chess. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose"

(Romans 8:28 KJV).

Asst. Pastor, Willie J. Carter 

Asst. Pastor Carter has been a Virginia resident for 47 years. He has taught Sunday school since the 1990's and it is his goal to help achieve the vision of the church. Asst. Pastor Carter retired in 1994 from the military as a Sergeant Major. He and his wife, Gladdis, were married in 1973. They have three children and seven grandchildren. In his spare time, you will find Asst. Pastor Carter reading, studying, and watching sports. He also likes to bowl and fish. "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he who keepeth the law, happy is he" (Proverbs 29:18 KJV).
